The publication will be marketed towards the general public and include the following, in a simple, easy to read format: To promote ALL forms of freshwater angling and tourism within Victoria. To provide detailed information on various angling destinations, including accessibility, available amenities, 'ideal angling locations', targeted fish species, potential hazards, et cetera. To clearly explain a wide variety of 'tried-and-proven' angling methods and techniques used at these locations. To dispel 'local myths and fallacies' and provide readers with "The Truth About Fishing." To provide detailed information and advice on a wide variety of specific baits, lures, flies, rods, reels, line types, general tackle, outdoor equipment, clothing and footwear. To promote responsible and sustainable angling practises such as 'Catch and Release' and recognising 'Legal Catch Limits and Minimum Size Requirements'. To recognise individuals and/or organisations, dedicated to promoting and educating the general public about responsible and sustainable angling practise, such as The Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Fisheries Victoria and Future Fish. Partnership Profiles Brian Pelle Brian, aged 41 originally from Mildura, now lives in Geelong Victoria. His passion, since early childhood has been fresh water fishing. Today, Brian dedicates his time to developing a 'holistic approach' to fishing; understanding the impacts of weather patterns and moon phases, entomology and fish feeding habits, developing new skills in spinning and fly fishing and promoting education and conservation. Raj was first introduced to fresh water fishing less than 5 years ago. Since then he has dedicated his time to comprehensively reporting on popular fresh water fishing destinations throughout Victoria. His aim is "to encourage a new breed of angler, who understands and respects the inseparable relationship between nature and conservation."
